Jasleen & Jason
I second shot this wedding for Amanda Photo Co., which was a privilege. Let me explain what it means to 'second shot'; wedding photographers often hire a second shooter to help capture a wedding, usually when a wedding occurs over multiple days at multiple locations. Jasleen and Jason's wedding was a three-day event that began with Sangeet (a pre-wedding celebration), was followed by a ceremony at the Sikh Temple the following day, and concluded with an American Wedding on the last day. As the second shooter, my job is to be with the groom while he is getting ready (while simultaneously, the lead shooter is with the bride). During the ceremony, my job is to capture candid moments from the guests and the big moments (like the first kiss) from a different angle, giving the final gallery a lot of variety. At the end of the wedding, the second shooter gives all their SD cards to the lead photographer and the copyright of the images as well. The lead photographer then culls, edits, and delivers the beautiful wedding gallery to the client. Typically, I don't edit or post weddings I've been a second shooter for, but this wedding was an exception! And I wanted to share my favorite images from this three-day celebration. From the outfits to the tiniest details, each moment was beautifully planned and executed. And it was a privilege to work with and learn from Amanda (the lead photographer.) She could teach a masterclass on professionalism as a wedding photographer; she approaches each moment with style and a sense of effortlessness. And if you haven't already, I highly recommend checking out her website, which I will link below! Without further ado, here are a few of my favorite images from Jasleen and Jason's wedding.
